What’s Botox and what does it do?

BOTOX® is short for Botulinum toxin which is actually a neurotoxin! But its used very carefully and in low doses to stun muscles, typically on the face to treat wrinkles and prevent frown lines

Where do people use Botox?

Commonly treated ares are frown lines on the forehead, Crows feet, under the eyes, lip lines, lip flip, neck bands, masseter muscles for TMJ and tooth grinding and Gummy smile correction

Why is everyone getting Botox at a young age?

More and more people are getting Botox earlier to stop wrinkles from forming in the first place. Getting early treatment avoid premature development of wrinkles

I already have frown lines that have formed, will they go away?

If you are consistent with injections, receiving toxin every 3-4 months, they will usully soften after 1 year

How long do results last?

Results vary by person. On average three (3) months is average after the first treatment. As you receive treatments more consistently, results tend to last longer

What happens if I stop getting Botox?

There are no downsides to stopping injectable toxins. In fact, any skin softening benefits you got as a result of Botox will usually remain

Does it hurt?

We use some of the smallest Becton Dickinson (BD) syringes which not only minimize pain but leave no needle marks after the injection

How much downtime will I have after the injection?

Minimal bruising is possible, but not common. Otherwise there is almost no downtime at all

Are there other toxin injections besides Botox available?

Yes, there are a few options. For the most part, injectable toxins are very similar with only small differences. During your consultation with the Doctor, we can pick the best solution for you
