Teledermatology & Telemedicine
While we still love to see you in person, we understand that sometimes you'd rather not come in. And so, we are proud to now offer Teledermatology services at Skinwell!
Teledermatology is a form of telemedicine where you can have your regular visit with us, but through your computer or mobile device, such as phone or tablet. You can do this from anywhere, including the comfort of your own home. Our appointment times are flexible and we offer the same level of care as a regular office visit. Of course, sometimes we have to see something in person to have a better look, or you have to come in to have a treatment performed— but Teledermatology offers us a good starting point. We can see what's happening and often give advice on how to treat problems and avoid the office visit alltogether

What kind of devices can I use for a Teledermatology visit?
Anything!Your computer, laptop, tablet or phone. We do like to use your device's camera so we can look at your issues, but sometimes we can do the visits without any camera or visuals at all.
Can I use Teledermatology for my first visit?
Absolutley, we can still make the diagnosis and offer treatment plans for your first visit.Can I get perscriptions?
Yes, we can still give perscriptions and electronically submit them to the pharmacy of your choiceWill my personal information and pictures be kept confidential?

Many insurance companies now cover these kinds of visits, but when you call to make an appointment we can verify if you will be coveredWhat if I need my issue looked at in person?
If the doctor thinks something should be further evaluated or treated in person, we can arrange an in-office visit after your teledermatology visit is over
